You feel cold air flowing around you, hair being pulled back. Just as if you're falling. In a few moments you hit cold, wet snow. The freezing coldness doesn't seem to bother you. Snow is so soft on comfy to lie in... You drift off asleep very quickly.\n\nThe end.
You start running as fast as you can. There are trees, stones and bushes around you. You're jumping over the obstacles. It seems you're running for a terribly long time now. You get tired and it's harder and harder to breathe.\n\n[[Keep on running | Run 2]]\n[[Turn around | Turn around 2]]
You sit down on a stone and look at the sea. Just now you notice that it's a dark night and there are stars in the sky. Wind is blowing furiously, making waves bigger and bigger. In the distance you see town with many bright lights and moving automobiles. The architecture of buildings seems unusual, yet very familiar. It reminds you of one certain city in Italy, where a very significant event of your life happened. You try not to think about that anymore. Better look at the stars.\n\nThe end.
You take a piece and look at your reflection in it. You see a wall behind you reflected, but not yourself. Then you realize that you don't see your hand holding the mirror piece either. At that moment it falls to the ground. You look downwards, at your feet, your hands, but there's nothing. A question comes to mind - "Do I exist?". As you ponder about this for a few moments there is a barely audible "Oink" sound and you actually stop existing.\n\nThe end.
You pour some soy milk into the glass and sit down in an armchar. The things that recently happened require some serious pondering about. There's only one logical conclusion - you're going out of your mind. Well, that happens to some people. There's no going back now, you'll ask someone to drive you to a psychiatric hospital. But first, you have to finish drinking your milk.\n\nThe end.
You turn around and to great relief see nothing, no dog chasing you. But you're no longer in your room. This seems like a jungle forest.\n\n[[Explore surroundings | Explore]]\n[[Go sleep on a bed of moss and flowers | Sleep 2]]
Beep beep...\n\nVoice: "Hi. Did not expect this call from you. Quite late, don't you think?"\n\nYou: "Sorry. There's something wrong with my light. I can't turn it off. I really need to sleep."\n\nVoice: "Too bad. Can't help you with that. Can give you some socially unacceptable ideas though. Or remind of a good old traumatic memory."\n\n[[You: "What? You hear elephant singing in a funny high-pitched voice:\n\nTurn off your mind, relax and float down stream\nIt is not dying, it is not dying\n\nLay down all thoughts, surrender to the void\nIt is shining, it is shining\n\n...\n\n[[Listen some more | Elephant song]]\n[[Shoo it away | Shoo]]
There's a part of a poem written there:\n\n<...>\nLong has paled that sunny sky;\nEchoes fade and memories die;\nAutumn frosts have slain July.\n \nStill she haunts me, phantomwise,\nAlice moving <...>\n\nThe paper is torn and there is no beginning nor end of the poem. You hear steps of someone walking away from behind the door.\n\n[[Look outside the window | Window]]\n[[Look at the mirror | Mirror reflection]]
Albertas\n\nA short interactive story\n\nAny resemblance to actual events, places, to persons living or dead, is not result of chance. It is deliberate.\n\nAuthors:\nAndrius Mitkus\nDomas Markevičius\n\n[[Start | Start2]]
Slowly, you walk to the mirror and look at yourself. What you see now is very disturbing. The person in reflection is undoubtedly you, but morphing, moving and bubbling. The colour of skin and eyes looks so saturated that it makes you sick.\n\n[[Take chair and smash into the mirror | Smash mirror]]\n[[Look some more | Dog]]
You try to lift your hands in front of your face to look at them. They feel like jelly, bend and stretch. No matter what you do, you can't see them anymore. This is quite scary.\n\n[[Look at your reflection in mirror | Mirror reflection]]\n[[Do nothing | Nothing]]
You start looking through other windows. There are rooms with beds, mirrors, TVs and doors in them. A different Albertas in each one of them. In some, the light is on, in others - off and Albertas is sleeping. Everything happening right now, in this moment. The difference between them is what they did. An affirmation of freedom so reckless and unqualified...\n\nAs you think this, realization comes to mind that the light in the room is off now, it's completely dark.\n\n[[Go to bed and sleep | Sleep]]\n[[Turn the light on | Turn light on]]
A tiny helicopter flies in through the open window. It is about the size of a mellon. An elephant is piloting it. He is wearing a very nice and colourful hat with bird feathers and shiny stones.\n\n[[Try to shoo it away | Shoo]]\n[[Watch what it will do | Watch]]
You get back brand new piece of paper. It says: "I'm trying to keep you safe. Enough weird things have happened lately. Trust me, you better stay inside"\n\n[[Try to escape through the window | Window]]\n[[Look at the other side of paper | Paper side 2]]\n
...\n\nYet you may see the meaning of within\nIt is being, it is being\n\nLove is all and love is everyone\nIt is knowing, it is knowing\n\nAnd ignorance and hate mourn the dead\nIt is believing, it is believing\n\nBut listen to the colour of your dreams\nIt is not leaving, it is not leaving\n\nSo play the game "Existence" to the end\nOf the beginning, of the beginning\nOf the beginning, of the beginning\nOf the ...\n...\n...\n\nSong gets quieter and quieter until you can't hear it anymore. Oh, probably because the helicopter is flying away from you, back through the window where it came from.\n\n[[Open your eyes | Open eyes]]\n[[Close your eyes | Close eyes]]
You wander around for a bit and stumble upon remains of old, decaying fortress. Barely any structure left, just some remains of walls and stones, stones everywhare. Ocean waves are gently hugging one side of the fortress and making beautiful sound as they crash into the walls.\n\n[[Sit down and relax | Relax]]\n[[Explore some more | Explore 2]]
You're in your bed. Sleepy eyes prefer to be closed, but it's time to wake up now. What an interesting dream you had! You stand up and notice that the light is still on. You flick the switch to turn it off, but it stays on.\n\nThe end.
You take the first heavy thing you can find - book called "A Cyborg Manifesto" by Donna Haraway and throw it to the light. It gets stuck there, as if magnetic force was pulling it towards ceiling. Light starts swinging and the shadows in the room start dancing, making you even more disoriented.\n\n[[Go look through the window and breathe some fresh air | Window]]\n[[Go outside | Outside]]
Snake: "You are fool to believe your decisions make you different. There are only so few predermined actions you can ta..."\n\nWithout letting the snake finish its monologue, you grab it and throw out of the window.\n\nPeacefully and without rush you finally put the lightbulb (still shining) into the drawer and close it. The room gets dark, just a sliver of light shining through a gap. Then you lie on the bed and drift off to sleep. The last thought in your head is "Why wasn't the lightbulb too hot to touch?".\n\nThe end.
You lift your body over the window. Your arms are trembling and heart starts racing. Finally, standing on the windowsill you close your eyes and lean forwards. The stream of cold air envelops you and wiggles your hair. You spread your arms and open the eyes. You see streets, people and buildings below. \n\nAfter all, if the world that we are forced to accept is false and nothing is true, then everything is possible.\n\nThe end.\n
You walk to the bed. It seems you forgot something...\n\n"I can't sleep with the light on."\n\n[[Turn off the light | Turn off light]]
You keep looking at the disguisting reflection of yourself. Suddenly you see a huge black dog behind you in the mirror. It's galloping towards you, agressively barking and showing yellow nasty teeth.\n\n[[Turn around | Turn around]] \n[[Run | Run]]
There is a dark room behind the door. It looks strangely familiar. It looks ... exactly like your room. Except the light is off here.\n\n[[Go lie in the bed | Other bed]]\n[[Turn on TV | TV]]
You close it, and sit in an armchair. The sound of wind gets stronger and stronger. It's a storm outside! It breaks the window and a collosal amount of snow streams in to the room. The wind shrieks and moves around all the things in the room. A flying book hits you in the head and you lose consciousness.\n\nThe end.
As you try to hang up the phone, you realize you're speaking into a banana.\n\n[[Eat the banana | Eat banana]]\n[[Throw it out of the window | Nothing]]
You take a bite. It tastes terrible and you immediately regret this decision. However, the mushroom doesn't seem so big now. Oh, and the trees are quite small too, you notice. Em.. it seems you're growing bigger by the second. Your head is up in the clouds now. You squint as the bright, bright sun shines into your eyes. It has exactly the same yellow colour as the lightbulb in your room. It's hard to breathe, there's no air up here. You lose consciousness.\n\nThe end.
The door doesn't open. Nothing happens, actually. Except you can't enter commands into terminal anymore. You realize how cold it is here and decide to go back home. Along the way you see silhouette of a person in the sky, with his arms stretched wide apart. The sight looks familiar, but you can't remember why. You keep on going, but it's harder and harder to move. Eventually you fall into the snow and look upwards. Snowflakes falling down make you fell like you're drifting upwards. But you're not. Snow covers you and breathing becomes impossible. It also gets dark.\n\nThe end.
You go back into the jungle and wander around some more. Eventually you find some huge mushrooms, about the same height as you.\n\n[[Climb a mushroom and look around | Climb]]\n[[Taste a mushroom | Eat me]]
You find yourself standing in a train station. Not in a passenger waiting area, but on the train tracks. There are people going about their lifes. They seem not to notice you. Also, you can't hear anything. You see mouths moving, trains passing by, birds flying. Nothing makes a sound, an infinite silence.\n\n[[Look to your left | Left]]\n[[Look to your right | Right]]
You lie down in the bed, drifting off asleep quickly. Almost asleep. Something is poking you. You make a sharp, sudden body twitch and open your eyes scared. There is a person looking at you. He looks exactly like yourself. He seems to be just as scared as you are.\n\n"What ... are you doing here?" he says in a familiar voice. He sounds just like you sound when you hear your voice recorded and played back.\n\nThe end.
You look at your wristwatch. The digits glow green, but you can't read the time. They look like hieroglyphs and are constantly changing their shape. You must be too tired, your brain is barely functioning. The room seems even brighter now, it's very irritating. There is no way you could sleep in such bright light.\n\n[[Call electrician | Call electrician]]\n[[Smash the lighbulb | Smash]]

The phone rings louder and louder. The sound is very irritating and almost painful.\n\n[[Look at your hands | Hands]]\n[[Answer phone | Answer phone]]
You wave your hands in front of the helicopter, trying to shoo it away like some insect. It seems to work. It flies back through the window where it came from. You see something unexpected though - outside the window is not the street you are used to see, but something completely different. A snowy, rocky mountain terrain.\n\n[[Step out of the window to investigate | Explore mountain]]\n[[Close window and shut off curtains | Close window]]
It's seems now the air around you is thick liquid. Every movement you make requires great effort and you're slowed down considerably. The heart is racing even faster, like it's going to jump out of your chest any moment.\n\n[[Turn around and face the dog | Stand still]]\n[[Try to swim in the liquid | Right]]
Two great big yellow lights shine into your face. Their colour is just like the lightbulb in your flat. They move closer and closer. You can't stop looking at them hypnotized by the intensity. Something hits you with great force.\n\nThe end.
You see a huge cruise boat in front of you, just inches away. Moving towards you, splashing water left and right. There is no time to swim away. And you seem unable to swim anyway, cold and dark water drags you down. Cruise boat hits you and you feel your body disintegrating. There is no pain, just darkness.\n\nThe end.

You pick up the call.\n\nVoice: "Hello."\n\nYou: "Hello, who is this?"\n\nVoice: "Are you having a fine evening?"\n\nYou: "Who is this?"\n\nThere is a pause, and voice doesn't say anything. You hear breathing.\n\n[[Listen to the phone some more | Call 2]]\n[[Hang up | Hang up]] \n
You take a step back. Snake is still looking at you. You take a few more steps back. Suddenly the snake jumps forward and bites your leg. It is very painful. You feel dizzy. The room starts spinning around you. You feel your head smash into the floor. At least it's dark now. At least you can sleep, finally.\n\nThe end.
The old tube TV faintly illuminates the room. It is exactly the same as yours. A painterly looking movie is being translated. In it, a person is trying to grab a car door handle, but starts drifting upwards into the sky. Eventually he disappears in the blue blue sky. You get the strangest déjà vu feeling, but not as if you've seen the movie. More like you've been that person drifting up.\n\n[[Turn off the TV | TV off]]\n[[Switch channel | Switch channel]]

Lightbulb smashes into the floor and shaterrs into million tiny pieces. Thankfully, the room gets dark.\n\nYou suddenly hear a phone ring.\n\n[[Ignore it | Ignore phone]]\n[[Answer it | Answer phone]]
You look down and see your TV in pieces on the street. And then you see another TV flying out of the window from a building just across the street. And another, and another. It gets too difficult to count them. Thousands of TVs jumping out of the windows. They all look exactly the same as yours.\n\n"Let's smash some dishes too." you think to yourself.\n\nThe end.
You open a drawer to put lightbulb in it. However, inside there is a snake. It looks at you with a tired expression, makes a hissing sound and wiggles out of the drawer rather quickly.\n\n[[Ignore the snake, put lightbulb in the drawer and close it | Close drawer]]\n[[Follow the snake | Follow snake]]
As you flick the switch you hear a loud burglar alarm sound. The light turns red and starts blinking. This is quite unexpected, you never had burglar alarm installed in your flat. Still, with an expresionless and unconcerned face you go to bed and lie down, with shoes and clothes still on. You find blaring alarm strangely soothing and close your eyes.\n\nThe end.
You lie down in bed, with clothes and shoes still on. You can't fall asleep for hours and hours, mind racing about recent things that happened. "Just leave me alone, leave me be!" you loudly say to your thoughts.\n\n"No. You need me.", replies your Subconsciousness.\n\nThe end.
You close the drawer and it finally gets dark. Only a sliver of light shining through, just a reminder of your ingenious solution to the problem. You go to the bed and fall asleep quickly. You dream about flying above your city and seeing buildings, persons, everything from above. Strangely, all people seem to look exactly like you.\n\nThe end.
It hurts your eyes to look at it. It's one of those old tungsten lightbulbs, giving warm yellow tint to the room. You can't exactly reach it to inspect further.\n\n[[Find something to stand on | Take chair]]\n[[Call electrician | Before call]]
After a short while, you hear sound of pen scribbling on the other side of locked door. The same piece of paper slides back. There's something written:\n\n"Don't go outside. Please. \nSincerely, your Subconsciousness"\n\n[[Write back "Why?" and slide the paper | Why]]\n[[Try to escape through the window | Window]]
You swing the chair into the mirror. There's a loud shattering sound. Floor is covered in sharp pieces of glass and last few big pieces slide crashing down after a few moments. There is a small, very unusually old looking door where the mirror was just a few minutes ago.\n\n[[Open the door | Mirror door]]\n[[Take a piece of mirror | Mirror piece]]
You step off the chair and go towards a drawer. On the way, you pass a mirror again. Reflected in it, you see yourself holding a phone instead of lightbulb. It is ringing.\n\n[[Pick up the phone | Answer phone]]\n[[Keep going towards drawer | Drawer 2]]
The door opens. You step inside. It is a room exactly like yours. Except the light is off. You happily jump to the bed and quickly drift into a dream. There is a big black dog in this dream, chasing you.\n\nThe end.
Voice on the other side of the line hangs up. You're left there confused and dazed.\n\n[[Sit in an armchair and have a drink | Drink]]\n[[Look at your hands | Hands]]
Voice: "Who is it? Ha ha. Your Subconsciousness. I'm so glad you we can finally speak. Wanna go dancing sometime?"\n\nYou: "..."\n\nVoice: "I know all your secrets. You climb the mushroom very easily. As you try to sit on its cap, however, it makes a loud "boing" sound and you bounce off it upwards with great force. You fly higher and higher. There's a rabbit floating by, but you quickly lose sight of it. Looking down you see the city you live in, and the jungle you never knew was there. They are separated by a huge mountain and surrounded by a sea. It brings you pleasant memories of being on a ferry boat with your friends and you close your eyes with a smile on your face...\n\nThe end.
You look around and see a chair which you could stand on. You take the chair and bring it below the lighbulb. It's strangely heavy and you can barely lift it. Along the way you pass by a mirror on the wall. You glance at it and see yourself holding not a chair, but a book in your hands. Realizing what a peculiar thing you just saw, you look at the mirror more closely now. There's just you and the chair.\n\n[[Stand on the chair and take out the lightbulb | Take lightbulb]]\n[[Smash the chair into the mirror | Smash mirror]]
The TV doesn't turn off. Instead, a mouth opens where the screen was and starts speaking.\n\n"You are the Alpha and Omega. Everything begins and ends with you, Albertas. You stand on the chair and start screwing out the lightbulb. It's difficult to keep balance. Eventually, lightbulb is in your hand. Strangest thing is, it's still shining. Night. The sky is clear, but there are no stars. Down below you see three persons walking by. They are giggling and talking loudly, but you can't make out the words. It seems they are looking at you.
